Sailing Receives National Ranking

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The co-ed and women's sailing teams have received national recognition in this week's Sailing World weekly rankings. The co-ed team is now fifth, moving up four sports from its previous ranking. The women are ranked 14th in the publications poll.
This past week sailing won the Nevin's Cup at the US Merchant Marine Academy in King's Point, N.Y. Adam Roberts, Aly Whitehead and Mike Grooso won the A division by 16 points. Jay Connolly and Erin Morley took fifth place in the B division. Reed Johnson took second place in the C Division.
At the Hatch Brown Intersectional at MIT the Eagles finished third as a team. Freshmen Brian Kamilar and Andrew Schneider placed fourth in Division A, while classmates Parker Dwyer and Allie Nagle finished sixth in Division B.
Juniors Spencer Powers and Brooke Dow tied for first place in the C Division. At Harvard, freshmen Martha Pitt and Lily Beck won the B Division at the Metro Series to place the Eagles at third overall.
