Inglese And Team Stand At 4-0 In International Play

Boston College Head Coach Cathy Inglese and the rest of the United States World University Games team has been making the most of their time in Izmir, Turkey. The team has gone a perfect 4-0 in preliminary round play and will embark on its journey to the gold August 16. Team USA is looking for its first gold medal since 2001. During that year, Team USA went 7-1 en route to the gold medal podium.
GAME THREE
China, 107-54 win.
Team USA shot and impressive 59 percent from the floor while LSU's Sylvia Fowles posted 23 points to lead the team. Jessica Davenport (Ohio State) and Liz Shimek (Michigan State) each pitched in 12 points and Brandie Hoskins (Ohio State) knocked down 10. The team outscored China, 25-9 in the third quarter.
GAME FOUR
Poland, 89-63 win.
After trailing by one point midway through the third quarter, Team USA used an 11-1 run to take control and earned a hard-fought 89-63 win. Notre Dame's Megan Duffy posted 13 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals. She was one of five players to score in double digits. Sylvia Fowles (LSU) grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds.
