Former Soccer Standout Heading To India This Summer

Former men's soccer standout Casey Schmidt has earned a prestigious internship position with the United Nations, and will head to India next month.
Schmidt will be leading a research program looking at the socio-economic impact of AIDS on households. He will be working directly in the HIV/AIDS division and will be in New Delhi for three months.
The 2002 Boston College Eagle of the Year retired from Major League Soccer in 2003 after spending one season with the Colorado Rapids. He is second on the all-time scoring list at Boston College with 82 points.
He is currently pursuing his master's degree in political science at Boston College.
