
Men's Golf Finishes 10th At Forest Oaks Intercollegiate

Alex Snickenberger's strong performance landed him tied for 14th overall at the Forest Oaks Intercollegiate. The two-day tournament was played at the Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. As a team, BC came in at 10th overall.
Snickenberger topped the BC leaderboard for the second time this spring season. The freshman, who boasts and average of 75.94 per round, started with a 78. His final tow rounds of plus-2 golf boosted him to 14th overall.
Bob Reed, BC's leader after the first two rounds, came in behind Snickenberger, finishing 17th overall. Reed began the tourney strong, shooting a 74 in his opening round. He slipped a bit, posting a 76 and a 77 in his final rounds to finish with a total of 227.
Captain Kyle Kelly tied for 38th overall in the tournament. Like Reed, he began the tournament strong, posting a plus-2 first round. Finishing with an 80-79 gave him a tournament total of 233 strokes.
Jim Roney and Jim Granello finished 52nd and 61st, respectively. Roney (80-80-79) concluded play with a 239 stroke total. Granello (84-85-80) finished at 249.
The men's team is back at it again this weekend, playing the Yale Spring Invitational in New Haven, Conn. The tournament runs from April 9-10 and will be played at the Yale University Golf Club.
