Courtney, Quandt Named 2005-06 Captains

Boston, Mass. - Women's ice hockey head coach Tom Mutch announced the captains for the 2005-06 season at the team's annual banquet at the Radisson Hotel in Boston on Sunday, April 17. Sarah Courtney and Alison Quandt were named co-captains, while Nancy Gillis was selected as an assistant captain.
Courtney has played in 96 games since arriving at the Heights. As a junior, she netted six goals and added two assists.
Quandt played in 24 games in goal last season. She posted a 3.15 goals against average and .889 save percentage. Hockey East recognized Quandt as Defensive Player of the Week four times during the season.
Gillis joined the team her sophomore year after playing her first year with BC's lacrosse team. During her two years with the team, she has played in every game. She scored one goal and dished out three assists in 2004-05.
BC had its most successful season in 2004-05 since joining the Hockey East Conference by earning its first playoff berth in the league.
