Men's Tennis Drops First Big East Match

The men's tennis team dropped its first Big East match of the season on Friday, falling to St. John's, 4-3, at the Flynn Recreation Complex.
The Eagles (10-11, 2-1) lost the crucial doubles point by dropping two of the three matches to start the day. Sophomore Dennis Reardon and freshman Chris Louis fell to the Red Storm's duo at No. 3 doubles, 9-8, in one of the afternoon's most exciting matches.
Freshman Jason Sechrist won at No. 4 singles, defeating Nick Stocker, 6-4, 6-1. It was the 10th consecutive singles victory for Sechrist. He improves his season's record to 16-11.
Senior Derrick Chou and sophomore Soma Kesthely won the two other singles matches for BC.
