McKennett, Kadison Earn Big East Weekly Honors

Providence, R.I. - Boston College juniors Tara McKennett and Elizabeth Kadison were named Big East Players of the Week in an announcement made by the conference office on Monday, March 28. Kadison earned Co-Offensive Player of the Week, while McKennett received Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season.
Kadison led the Eagle's attack in the past two games. On Tuesday in a 17-10 win over Stony Brook, she scored a game-high four goals and added an assist. In Saturday's 10-9 overtime victory against Big East-opponent Notre Dame, Kadison notched two goals and dished out an assist. The junior is second on the team in points with 17 on 14 goals and three assists.
McKennett combined for 22 saves in two games this past week. Against Stony Brook, she played the first half and made nine saves to earn the win. In Saturday's win over Notre Dame, she stopped a season-high 13 shots on goal, including two in the final seconds of overtime. McKennett posts a goals against average of 8.44 and save percentage of .536.
BC (5-1) will face cross-town rival Boston University on Wednesday, March 30. The game will be played at BU's Nickerson Field and action starts at 7 p.m.
