
Women's Tennis Earns First Victory Of Spring

The women's tennis team registered its first victory of the spring on Sunday morning with a 4-3 win over Columbia. The Eagles improve to 1-2 on the season.
Junior Szilvia Szegedi won an exciting match at No. 1 singles, holding off Milena Kachar - 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (2). Freshman Gia Nafarrete won in the No. 6 slot, defeating Kara Worsley - 6-3, 6-4. Nafarrete has won two out of three singles matches this spring.
Sophomore Lindsey Nash won her first singles match since last season after missing the fall with an injury. Nash beat Marlena Hall at No. 3 singles, winning in straight sets - 7-5, 6-1.
Szegedi and senior Nida Waseem were victorious at No. 1 doubles, besting Hall and Kachar - 8-4.
BC returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Cornell at 10 a.m.
