BOSTON (AP) - Greeba Barlow scored 19 points and St. John's posted its first win over a ranked team in 12 years, beating No. 16 Boston College 69-52 Saturday.
Kia Wright added 13 points and Danielle Chambers 10 for the Red Storm (16-5, 5-5 Big East), who snapped a 13-game losing streak against the Eagles. Their last win over a ranked team came Jan. 6, 1993, 54-51 over then-No. 21 Connecticut.
It was their first win over Boston College since Feb. 1, 1995.
Brooke Queenan scored 11 points to lead Boston College (15-5, 6-3). The Eagles, who struggled to find an offensive rhythm after losing leading scoring Jessalyn Deveny for the season with a ruptured right Achilles' tendon earlier in the week, shot just 36.5 percent (19-of-52).
The Red Storm led 28-27 at halftime. They broke the game open early in the second half with a 13-1 run, holding the Eagles without a basket for nearly five minutes.
After St. John's took a 41-28 lead on Chambers' put-back with 16:49 to play, the Eagles scored the next two baskets to cut it to eight. The Red Storm then scored the next 12 points, with Wright and Barlow each scoring four.
