Sailing's Coed Team Makes It Two in A Row

The Eagles' Coed Team won the Bob Bavier Team Racing Interesectional this weekend at the College of Charleston, coming off a recent victory at the Mendelblatt Team Race at the University of South Florida.
The all-senior team of Jeff Bonanni/Jen Doyle, Ben Gent/Caitlin Gill, and Frank Ustach/Joy MacDougall won comfortably with a 15-2 win/loss record. Second place Dartmouth College finished well behind with 10 wins and 7 losses, including two to the Eagles.
At the end of the double round-robin, BC had clinched victory with a final round of three races to go. The top four teams sailed the final round robin against each other. The Eagles finished strong, with a 3-0 record in the final round.
The field of eight teams included 4th ranked Harvard, 7th ranked Dartmouth, 10th ranked Stanford, 12th ranked St. Mary's and 14th ranked USF.
The 8th ranked Eagles can expect to move up in the national polls, due out next week. Captain Frank Ustach '05 credits the teams' success on depth and maturity,
"We've got a solid team with a lot of experience," team captain Frank Ustach said. "That experience is paying off."
The Coed and Women's teams travel to Miami next week for their spring training trip.
