BOSTON (AP) - Marscilla Packer scored 18 points, including a key 3-pointer in overtime, to lift No. 4 Ohio State to a 66-61 win over Boston College on Saturday.
Brandie Hoskins had 13 points and Jessica Davenport added 12 for the Buckeyes (5-0).
Kathrin Ress led the Eagles (6-2) with 16 points, Brittany Johnson had 15 and Aja Parham 12.
The teams were tied three times in overtime before Davenport's two free throws pushed the Buckeyes ahead 59-57. Packer then made a long 3-pointer from the left wing as the shot clock ran out for a 62-57 lead with 1:31 left in overtime.
BC's Brooke Queenan missed a potential game-winning reverse layup and the ball went out of bounds in favor of the Eagles with two seconds left in regulation. The ensuing inbounds was tipped into a group of players as the horn sounded.
Ohio State, which led the nation in field goal percentage the past two seasons, led 23-22 at halftime despite shooting just 30.3 percent (10-of-33).
The Buckeyes' previous four wins were by 39 points or more.
