Eagles Drop Season Finale to Fourth-Ranked North Carolina

Chapel Hill, N.C. - The Boston College men's soccer team ended the regular season on the losing end of a 5-0 decision to fourth-ranked North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C.
The Tar Heels came charging out of the gate as Cory Ashe took a rebound off the crossbar and gave his team a 1-0 lead in the fifth minute of the match.
Scott Campbell scored the first of his three goals on the night when he headed home a cross from Ashe in the 20th minute.
North Carolina took a 2-0 lead into halftime and again came out strong in the second half. Campbell assisted on a goal by Ben Hunter in the 62nd minute, then scored the final two goals of the night to give the Tarheels a 5-0 victory.
The Eagles collected seven shots on the night and keeper Issey Maholo made five saves in one half of action.
Boston College will play in the first round of the ACC Tournament on Tuesday in Cary, N.C.
