Men's Golf Places Seventh at the Pirate Invitational

Greenville, N.C. - The men's golf team finished seventh out of 14 teams at the Pirate Invitational in Greenville, N.C. Sophomore Bob Reed placed tied for fifth with Nick Olson from Charleston Southern out of a field of 83 golfers.
The Invitational was played on a par-72 course, which covered 7,145 yards. The two-day tournament took place on Monday, Oct. 17 and Tuesday, Oct. 18.
Reed shot an impressive 67 in the first round and finished his three rounds with a total of 216. Sophomore Alex Snickenberger was the next Eagle to place, tying for 32nd. Snickenberger had a three round total of 227.
Junior Ryan Sturma finished the three rounds with a 228, good enough for 36th overall, while sophomore Jim Granello placed tied for 60th overall. Granello had a three round total of 238.
Rounding out the Eagles top five was sophomore Scott Yoon. Yoon placed 71st, with a total of 245.
The Pirate Invitational was the Eagles final Invitational before the spring season begins.
