Women's Ice Hockey Set To Play New Hampshire

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College women's ice hockey team will travel to Durham, N.H. on Saturday to face # 5 New Hampshire at 2 p.m. The Eagles are 2-1-1 in their last four games and are coming off a strong showing against Clarkson this past weekend.
BC earned its fifth win of the season on New Years Day against the Golden Knights. Lee-J Mirasolo scored her first career goal to lift the Eagles to a 1-0 win. Alison Quandt recorded her second shutout in three games with 28 saves. The following night, Colleen Harris tallied her seventh goal of the season as BC tied Clarkson 1-1 in overtime. Quandt had another strong performance, stopping 33 shots on goal.
The Eagles continue to dominate the power play. BC leads Hockey East with a power-play percentage of .234 and is second in power-play goals with 1.39 per game. Harris, Sarah Feldman, and Deborah Spillane have each tallied six power-play goals this season, good for second in the league.
The freshman line of Harris, Spillane, and Feldman has combined for 59 points on the year. Spillane and Feldman lead the team with 21 points a piece. Feldman is tied for second in the conference with 12 goals. Spillane is fifth in Hockey East with 13 assists and Harris is tied for sixth with 10 assists.
Defensively, the Eagles have allowed only four goals in their last four games. Cristin Stuart and Sarah Carlson are tied for ninth in the league for defensemen with five points. Stuart tallied her third assist of the year on Sunday against Clarkson. Jill McInnis also registered her first assist of the season on the gamewinner on Saturday.
In goal, Quandt has been unbeatable. She is the first BC goalie to allow as few as four goals in four consecutive D-1 games. The junior posts a goals against average of 2.87 and a save percentage of .886 on the season.
BC (5-11-2, 1-6-1) will look to capture its second win of the year in Hockey East on Saturday against New Hampshire at 2 p.m. at the Whittemore Center.
