Feldman Named Hockey East Rookie Of The Month

Wakefield, Mass. - Sarah Feldman was named Hockey East Rookie of the Month for her strong offensive performance in December in an announcement made by the conference office on Monday evening. This is the second time Feldman has received the award and the third consecutive month that a BC player has been selected as the league's top rookie.
In December Feldman tallied five goals, including her first career hat trick against Vermont on December 7. In a Hockey East matchup against Providence on the fourth, she had another three point game with one goal and two assists. The rookie notched seven points over four games for the Eagles.
Feldman leads conference rookies with 12 goals on the season. Six of her goals have come on the power play. She is also tied with classmate Deborah Spillane as the team leader in points with 21. Spillane took home Rookie of the Month honors for November.
BC (5-11-1) will travel to Durham, N.H. on Saturday, January 8 to face New Hampshire in Hockey East action at 2 p.m.
