Men's Fencing Competes At Brown In NFC Action

Providence, R.I. - The Boston College men's fencing team competed against Dartmouth, Brandeis, MIT, and Brown in Providence, R.I. on Saturday. The Eagles earned one win against Dartmouth at the Northeast Conference meet.
The Eagles pulled out a win over Dartmouth with a 14-13 victory, but dropped three to Brandeis, MIT and Brown. BC fell to MIT and Brown by one point, 14-13.
The men's epee squad performed the best on the day. After struggling against Brandeis 1-8 in the first round the team went on to go 8-1 against Brown, 5-4 against Dartmouth and 6-3 against MIT.
Sophomore Alex Rios led the Eagles with an impressive mark of 8-3 for the day.
The Eagles will return to action on Saturday, February 5 in Cambridge, Mass. BC will compete against Harvard, New York University, and University of Pennsylvania.
