Junior forward Patrick Eaves earned Hockey East Player of the Week according to an announcement made by the league office on January 17.
Eaves posted six points in three games last week. On Tuesday, Eaves assisted senior Ned Havern on the game-winning goal at Yale.
In the 6-3 victory over BU on Friday night, Eaves scored two goals, one on the power play, and was credited with the helper on another. In the game that decided the season series against the cross-town rival, he had two points. He assisted Ryan Shannon on the game-winner and netted an empty net goal to seal the 2-0 shutout of the No. 9 Terriers.
This is Eaves' first weekly honor of the season. He was named Hockey East Player of the Month for October.
