Former Boston College infielder Ryan Leahy has already made his mark in the minor leagues, just a couple of months after leaving Chestnut Hill. Leahy, who signed a free agent contract with the Anaheim Angels in early June, collected six hits in six at-bats in a July 16 game for the Provo Angels, a class A affiliate. Leahy's teammate, shortstop Sean Rodriguez, also had six hits in six at-bats and the middle infield tandem became the first teammates to collect six hits apiece in the same game in 108 years. Leahy hit .305 in 25 games with Provo before being promoted to Cedar Rapids on July 29. In his first four games with the Kernels, Leahy has hit .353 and scored three runs. Leahy also hit his first professional home run on July 29, the same day of his promotion. Leahy hit .319 with 34 RBI during his senior season (2004) with the Eagles.
