FieldTurf Photo Gallery With Alumni Stadium's new FieldTurf surface clearly a hit among players and coaches, the football Eagles practiced on grass Tuesday afternoon as temperatures hovered near 85 degrees. Wednesday and Thursday afternoon practices will be sandwiched between strength & conditioning sessions and team and position meetings. The Eagles will spend the first half of Friday at their Media Day, and then hold an afternoon practice before visiting the annual Flynn Fund Barbecue. The first "two-a-day" practices begin Saturday. One of the first orders of business for fall camp is to find a backup for starting tight end David Kashetta (Westport, CT), according to coach Tom O'Brien. Redshirt freshman Trey Koziol (Hinsdale, IL), junior Chris Miller (Upper Arlington, OH) and sophomore Robert Ziminski (Willow Springs, IL), who recently converted to tight end from defensive end, are in the mix. One welcome site the first two days of practice has been the return of long snapper Francois Brochu (St. Austin, Quebec), who was forced to sit out last season due to a wrist injury. A limited number of season tickets remain on sale. Fans are encouraged to purchase the tickets in person, online at www.bceagles.com or by calling the ticket office at 617-552-GoBC.
