Three Volleyball Players To Play In International Tournament

Three Boston College volleyball players - sophomores Allison Anderson, Kristin Kenney and Alison Shepp - will participate in the fifth annual Sibillini Tournament in Comunanza, Italy from June 29 to July 3.
The three Eagles will be traveling as part of the U.S. delegation. The United States will field two teams - VolleyHut and Third Degree - in the eight-team field. The other under-20 squads come from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia/Montenegro, Slovenia and host Italy.
Anderson, an outside hitter from Moraga, Calif., led BC with 348 kills in her first season. Kenney, a setter from Walnut Creek, Calif., finished fourth on the team with 182 digs. Shepp, a middle blocker from Schaumburg, Ill., led BC with a .335 attack percentage and twice earned BIG EAST Rookie of the Week honors.
The U.S. delegation, which arrived in Rome on June 23, will play four friendly matches (June 24, 26-28) before beginning tournament play on June 29.
