Men's Basketball Players To Transfer

Two Boston College scholarship basketball players - sophomore Johnnie Jackson and freshman Devon Evertsen - have decided to transfer and pursue opportunities to other schools, according to BC head basketball coach Al Skinner.
In addition, walk-on sophomore Tavio Hobson has also announced his intention to further his career at another institution.
Jackson, a 6-foot-6-inch forward from Memphis, Tenn., averaged 2.0 points and 1.3 rebounds per game in seven games for the Eagles this past season. In two seasons, Jackson averaged 1.5 points and 0.8 rebounds in 19 games.
Evertsen, a 6-foot-6-inch swingman from Phoenix, Ariz., played in 13 games in 2003-04. He averaged 2.2 points and 0.7 rebounds per game.
Hobson, a 6-foot guard from Seattle, Wash., joined the team as a walk-on prior to the 2002-03 season. He played in 16 games in two seasons, including nine games this past winter.
Boston College finished the 2003-04 season with a 24-10 mark, including a 10-6 record in BIG EAST action. BC earned its third NCAA Tournament bid in the last four years.
The 2004-05 Eagles will feature seven returning lettermen, including four starters.
