Four Eagles Earn Hockey All-America Honors

Senior forward Tony Voce and junior defenseman Andrew Alberts earned 2003-04 Division I All-America first-team honors, while junior forward Ryan Shannon and sophomore forward Patrick Eaves gained All-America second-team accolades, according to an announcement made by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA).
Voce, who earned All-Hockey East first-team honors, leads the Eagles with 47 points. He ranks second in the nation with 29 goals. Voce shared the Hockey East scoring title with Shannon. Both players posted 27 points in conference play.
Alberts shared Hockey East's 2003-04 Best Defensive Defenseman Award with Maine's Prestin Ryan. He also gained All-League second-team accolades. Alberts finished the regular season as the league's plus-minus leader with a +21 rating in conference play.
Shannon, an All-Hockey East first-team honoree, enters the Frozen Four with 41 points - 14 goals and 27 assists. The Darien, Conn., resident scored two goals and added one assist in the Eagles' NCAA Tournament first-round win over Niagara.
Patrick Eaves, who captured MVP honors at the NCAA Tournament's Northeast Regional last month, earned All-Hockey East second-team accolades. He finished second in Hockey East scoring with 26 points in conference play, despite playing in only 20 of 24 conference games. He has 18 goals and 23 assists in only 33 games this season.
