LAS VEGAS - In a match that was postponed one day because of rain, the Boston College men's tennis team lost to UNLV 7-0 at the Fertitta Tennis Complex in Las Vegas.
Justin Slattery (Hampton, N.H.) took the first set from 55th-ranked Henner Nehles, 6-1, but dropped the next two, 6-0, 6-4, to snap a streak of five straight wins. The Eagles dropped five singles matches in straight sets.
Boston College falls to 3-6 while UNLV improves to 4-3.
The Eagles travel to Denver, Colo. for a three-game series this weekend. The Eagles are slated for a doubleheader with Drake and Denver on Friday before squaring off against Utah Saturday.
