PHILADELPHIA - Senior Justin Slattery (Hampton, N.H.) defeated David Lynn in straights sets, 6-4, 6-1, and teamed with Chris McCoy (Pittsburgh, Pa.) for the doubles win to lead Boston College in a 5-2 loss to Pennsylvania Friday evening in Philadelphia, Pa.
The loss drops the Eagles' record to 2-4.
Freshman Soma Kesthely (Budapest, Hungary) took Justin Lavner to three sets at the no. 5 singles spot but fell, 6-2, 0-6, 6-2. The match marked the first dual singles match for Kesthely.
Boston College is back in action Sunday, Feb. 23 at Princeton, N.J.
