XC Runs At NCAA Regionals

The women's cross country team ran at the NCAA Regional Championships on November 13th. The meet was held at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, NY. Despite loosing the team's fourth runner, Jess Flinn to sickness, the ladies exceeded expectation with their 4th place team finish at the NCAA Regionals Championships.
Individually, captain Maria Cicero received an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships for her 8th place finish. Laurel Burdick joined Cicero in earning All Region honors with her 13th place finish in a time of 21:13 The ladies had all of their top 5 finishers within the top 60 as junior Alexis Lake, freshman Lynn Kubeja, and senior co-captain, Melissa Sherman finished in 37th, 43rd, and 59th, respectively.
On the men's side, the Eagles had the top 5 scorers within the top 100 of the 233 person field. The Eagles were led by senior captain, Drew Bouchard (32:12) with a top 40 finish in 39th place. Bouchard was backed up by freshman Adam Moitoso (32:47), freshman Patrick Mellea (32:57), sophomore Mark Alizzi (33:04), and junior Joe Lesniak (33:13) in 68th, 79th, 83rd, and 92nd, respectively.
