No. 17 Women's Basketball Dominates New Hampshire

BOSTON (AP) - Jessalyn Deveny scored 14 of her 23 points during a 24-9 run to start the second half and finished with nine rebounds, leading No. 17 Boston College past New Hampshire 78-49 Saturday.
Clare Droesch scored five of her 13 points in the second-half run. Boston College (7-1) hit eight of its first nine shots in the second half, extending a 31-26 halftime lead to 55-35 on Deveny's free throw with 11:03 to play.
Whitney Edwards paced the New Hampshire (3-4) with 10 points.
Deveny, who entered the game averaging 17.9 points as the team's top scorer, hit a baseline jumper 13 seconds into the second half. After Droesch sank a 3-pointer, Deveny scored eight of the Eagles' next 10 points, making it 46-30 with 14:36 left.
Game Notes: The Eagles hit their first three shots of the first half and first seven of the second half...BC outscored UNH 24-9 to open the second period...Shamika Jackson hit her first four shots before missing a three-pointer, ending a streak of eight consecutive field goals after she went 4-for-4 last game...Jessalyn Deveny scored a season-high 23 points in the win, marking her fourth 20+ game of the year...BC used all 12 of its players for the third consecutive game.
