In coed competition, BC qualified for the Atlantic Coast Championships by finishing 6th at the Danmark Trophy at Coast Guard. St. Mary's College dominated the event, winning by more than forty points. The Atlantic Coast Championship is the premier event of the fall season. A total of eight New England teams will qualify, the first four qualifying this weekend at the Danmark. BC, Dartmouth, Yale, and Tufts have qualified for the ACC which will be sailed at MIT on November 13-14.
In other competition, BC placed second and third at a home team racing event. Tufts won the event with a perfect 8-0 record. The two BC teams were tied, each losing to Tufts twice and splitting the two races they sailed against each other. BC's upperclassmen beat the freshman team on a tie breaker.
This weekend's Metro Series event at Harvard was cancelled due to lack of wind. BC currently holds the lead in the Metro Series.
