In the past week, Boston College has collected multiple accolades. First, USA Today dubbed them national preseason favorite; then it was the Hockey East Coach's Poll that named them the projected winner of the conference in 2004-05. As the focus of the latest poll turns to individual players, the hits just keep on coming.
US College Hockey Online released its individual selections for the upcoming season. Three Eagles were named to the All-USCHO teams and one was selected for the All-USCHO Rookie Team.
On the first team is junior assistant captain Patrick Eaves. He was one of three juniors selected for first team honors and the only Eagle to make the top squad.
Senior assistant captain Andrew Alberts received second team recognition. Mark Stuart of Colorado College joined Alberts as the other second team defenseman.
Forward Ryan Shannon, team captain, was selected to the All-USHCO Third Team.
These three round out the All-USCHO selections for the Eagles. In addition to the three, BC freshman Cory Schneider was honored as the goalie for the All-USCHO Rookie Team.
This Saturday, The Eagles have an exhibition game against University of New Brunswick at 7 p.m. The game will be held in Kelley Rink in Conte Forum.
