Coach Andrea Leonard and her squad are ready for another weekend of BIG EAST volleyball competition. The Eagles will host Rutgers (12-6, 1-2) on Friday at 7 p.m. and Seton Hall (6-17, 0-3) on Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Eagles are coming off a win on the road over Quinnipiac on Tuesday night. BC shut out the Bobcats 3-0. Alison Shepp led the Eagles offensively with 13 kills, while Allison Anderson continued to be rock solid at libero with 18 digs.
Right now Coach Leonard is focused on this weekend. "We are really trying to concentrate on the game in front of us," says Leonard. "I feel like the team is in a good spot right now and we just need to take it point by point."
The two teams faced each other earlier in the season at the BIG EAST Challenge. In the non-conference match, the Eagles topped the Scarlet Knights 3-1. Katie Andersen had a huge match for BC with a double-double. The senior registered 25 kills and 10 digs on the night.
Coach Leonard recognizes that Rutgers is a solid team. "They have a lot of seniors and experience. They have been in this situation before and I am not really sure what to expect from them," says Leonard. "I just know we are going to have a good volleyball match and a good team in front of us."
