Men's XC Tallies 2nd Place Finish

A seventh place finish for captain Drew Bouchard boosted Boston College men's XC team to a 2nd place finish in the New England Intercollegiate. All five BC finishers were in the top 65 of the 315 participants from 27 schools. BIG EAST rival Providence finished first as all five of their races landed in the top 15.
Senior Bouchard ran a 24:54 on the afternoon. Bouchard has been the leading man for the team thus far and continues to place in top spots every race.
Finishing back-to-back were Eagles Adam Moitoso and Mark Alizzi. Coming in the 25th and 26th positions, Moitoso and Alizzi ran a 25:23 and a 25:25, respectively.
The finishers that rounded out the BC's great afternoon were Patrick Mallea and Stephen Walsh. Mallea finished in 37th place with a 25:44. Walsh placed 64th, running a 26:07 at the intercollegiate.
Also running for the Eagles were Trevor Rozier-Byrd and Joe Lesniak. Rozier-Byrd, co-captain with Bouchard, ran a 26:17 and finished in 76th. Lesniak placed in the 128th position with a time of 26:59.
The men's and women's XC teams will run at the National Invitational this Saturday at Penn St.
