MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - Tyrone Sally had 18 points and D'or Fischer blocked a school-record eight shots in West Virginia's 65-62 win over Boston College on Saturday.
Patrick Beilein scored 14 points and made six free throws in the final 25 seconds to help seal the win for the Mountaineers (10-6, 2-3 Big East).
Fischer had 12 points and Joe Herber scored 10 for West Virginia, which made eight-of-nine free throws in the final minute.
Sally, who became the Mountaineers' go-to player after leading scorer Drew Schifino's dismissal two weeks ago, tied the season high he established Wednesday in a 55-51 win over cross-state rival Marshall.
Boston College tied it at 54-54 on a Smith putback with three minutes remaining, but West Virginia scored five straight to take its largest lead, 59-54, with 55 seconds to play.
Craig Smith led Boston College (13-5, 2-3) with 15 points and Jared Dudley scored 14.
Fischer's eight blocks surpassed West Virginia's previous high of seven, which Marcus Goree reached twice in 1999.
