Baseball Continues For Eagles Down On Cape

Five Eagles have had the chance to shine in the Cape Cod Summer League this year.

Juniors Chris Lambert and Jason Delaney have been playing with the Chatham A's. Lambert has recorded a 2.71 ERA and gone 3-3 on the mound, striking out 56. Delaney has posted eight RBI's with 16 hits.

The Wareham Gatemen includes juniors Kevin Shepard and Drew Locke. Shepard, 2-1 this summer, begins August with a 1.72 ERA. Locke led the Eagles during the 2003 season hitting .354 and has made 38 appearances at the plate for Wareham with a .237 average.

Ryan Morgan has struck out 10 in 11 innings pitched for the Bourne Braves. The junior's .82 ERA has helped put the Braves into first place in the Western Division. While off the mound, Morgan has been contributing in the DH spot, hitting .242 in 99 at bats.
