Boston College seniors Paul Chase (Weymouth, Mass.) and Adam Pfeifer (Newton, Mass.) spent the summer playing for the Cape Cod Crusaders of the Premier Development League and captured their second successive title defeating the Chicago Fire Reserves 2-0 in Naperville, Ill. Cape Cod became the fifth team in United Soccer League (USL) history to repeat as champions.
Chase captained the Crusaders for the second straight summer after playing an integral part in their title run last year. The sweeper played 13 games for the Crusaders this summer.
Pfeifer tallied 16 points on seven goals and two assists in 18 games for the Crusaders.
Chase and Pfeifer hope their success continues as they return to Boston College and BIG EAST competition when the Eagles kick-off their regular season at Pittsburgh, August 30.
