Eaves, Forrest Earn AHCA All-America Honors

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Junior Ben Eaves earned 2002-03 All-America first team honors and classmate J.D. Forrest captured All-America second team honors, according to an announcement made by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA). Eaves was an AHCA All-America second team selection for the 2001-02 season as well.
Eaves led BC in scoring with 57 points - 18 goals and 39 assists. He was recently named the recipient of the Leonard Fowle Award, given annually to the most valuable player in New England by the New England Hockey Writers Association.
The Faribault, Minn., native garnered the Hockey East Co-Player of the Year award as he captured the regular-season scoring title, notching 42 points (14 goals, 28 assists) in 23 league games.
Forrest registered 31 points - six goals and 25 assists - in 34 games. The Auburn, N.Y., native gained Hockey East All-Conference second team honors, while collecting defensive player of the week honors on two occasions this winter. He was selected to the NCAA East Regional All-Tournament team.
