CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College women's lacrosse team (6-3), and the rain, poured it on the University of Denver (5-5) on Friday evening in Alumni Stadium. In a heavy downpour, the Eagles emerged with a 15-2 victory to extend their win streak to five games.
Boston College came on strong in the first half, scoring 11 unanswered goals. Meggie O'Neill had a huge evening with four goals and one assist. In total, nine Eagles posted points on the scoreboard.
Patience Baldwin and Lindsay Robinson tallied the Pioneers' lone goals.
Tara McKennett was perfect in the Eagle net, saving each of the five shots she faced. She was replaced by Michelle Lawson, who recorded three saves of her own, early in the second half.
Boston College will return to action in Alumni Stadium on Sunday, April 13. The Eagles will face BIG EAST powerhouse Georgetown University in a noon clash.
