Men's Golf Places 17th at George Washington Invitational

ISSUE, Md. - The Boston College men's golf team finished tied for 17th out of 20 schools at the George Washington Invitational, held at the Swan Point Yacht and Country Club in Issue, Md. BC finished with a team score of 349. Princeton won the event with a score of 309.
Junior tri-captain Sean McReynolds shot 41-41-82, good for a 24th-place tie. McReynolds has led the Eagles in all three tournaments this spring.
Senior tri-captain Patrick Martin finished tied for 63rd place with a score of 42-45-87. Two strokes behind Martin was sophomore Tim Connors, who shot 45-44-89 for an 81st-place tie.
Rounding out the top-five BC finishers were sophomore Eric Recher (90th place, 42-49-91) and freshman Matt King (98th place, 47-46-93).
The Eagles return to the course Friday, April 11, when they compete in the New England Championship in Providence, R.I.
