WAKEFIELD, Mass. - The Women's Hockey East Association announced its players of the month for February on Monday. Boston College sophomore Lisa Davis was named ITECH Goaltender of the Month.
Davis allowed two goals or less in four of the first five games in February, yielding three wins (including BC's first two in league play) to offset just one OT loss. Subtracting the numbers against top-ranked Harvard would give the sophomore a .937 save percentage and a GAA below 2.00 on the month.
At the conclusion of the 2002-03 campaign, Davis improved her standings on several BC lists. With 1446 career saves, she jumps to second on BC's "most saves in a career" list after just two seasons. With 74 goals against and a 3.49 GAA, she ranks second (behind herself) in best GAA in a year. The Falmouth, Mass native is currently first on the "best career GAA (minimum two seasons)" list with 2.65.
