Men's Tennis Falls To Denver, Yale

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The men's tennis team lost to Denver, 6-1, Friday night at the Flynn Recreation Complex and Yale, 7-0, Saturday afternoon in New Haven, Conn., in its first action of 2003.
The Eagles won just two matches versus the Pioneers and lost all nine matches against the Bulldogs. The only victories came courtesy of junior Paul Colahan (Beverly, Mass./St. John's Prep [Danvers]), who beat Colin Day, 6-7, 6-1, (10-3), at No. 6 singles, and the No. 1 doubles team of juniors Brad Anderson (Edina, Minn./Edina) and Justin Slattery (Andover, Mass./Central Catholic), who beat Nejc Smole and Urban Ljubic, 9-8 (4).
The team is off until Saturday, Feb. 15, when it plays host to Stony Brook at 9 a.m.
