Men's Swimming Outscores New Hampshire

DURHAM, N.H. - The Boston College men's swimming and diving team earned its seventh consecutive victory over the University of New Hampshire, 196-95, on Sunday afternoon in Durham, N.H.
After UNH won the first event, Boston College took first place in the next six to take a commanding lead over the Wildcats in the early rounds of the meet. Dave Herman, Tim Tully, Andy Naumann, Brandon Twichell, Nick Riolo, and Matthew Baker were responsible for the six straight race wins. Twichell and Tully would later add a second first-place finish to their day's totals, while Naumann tallied three for the meet. Mark Fennell won an individual race, then swam the first leg of the 200-yard freestyle relay, which would conclude the meet with a win.
With three first-place finishes, Naumann was the team's outstanding performer, while Twichell's performance in the 100-breaststroke was the outstanding performance of the day and his best of the season.
The men's and women's swimming and diving teams will compete against the University of Massachusetts in a 1 p.m. meet on Saturday, Feb. 8 in Amherst, Mass.
