The Hockey East Association announced its weekly honorees today and Boston College junior defenseman Andrew Alberts (Eden Prairie, Minn.) was selected as the CCM Player of the Week.
The 6-4, 215-pound defenseman put together a pair of career games this week. On November 18 against Merrimack, he posted the first two-goal game of his career and scored the third-period equalizer. On November 21 against Providence, Alberts recorded his first-ever three-assist game, providing a helper on Brian Boyle's game-winner in the third period.
The junior was a Hockey East Honorable Mention selection a season ago and he now leads all BC defensemen with six points on the season.
Alberts and the Eagles will take to the ice in Kelley Rink on Tuesday night as the Dartmouth Big Green come to town for a 7:00 p.m. showdown.
