Women's Golf Finishes 16th at Notre Dame Invitational

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Boston College women's golf team finished 16th out of 18 teams at this weekend's Notre Dame Invitational. The Eagles shot 1027 (345-344-338) in the two-day event. Notre Dame won the third annual invitational, shooting 945 (316-310-319).

Freshman Elizabeth Friel led the way for the Eagles, shooting 86-83-82-251. Her score landed her in a tie for 55th place. Elizabeth Callery finished three strokes behind, shooting 85-83-86-254, to finish 63rd. The final round was delayed two hours and 20 minutes due to rain.

The Eagles return to action Oct. 12-13 when they travel to Gettysburg, Pa., to compete in the ECAC Championships.
