Women's Golf Finishes Fifth at Yale Intercollegiate

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Boston College women's golf team finished in fifth place out of 12 teams in the Yale Intercollegiate, held this past weekend in New Haven, Conn. The Eagles shot 319-334-653 over the weekend. Penn State finished first with a score of 293-298-591.
Freshman Elizabeth Friel led the Eagles for the second week in a row with a score of 77-84-161. Sophomore Kori Goulet was two shots behind Friel with a 80-83-163. Kerry Whalen competed as an individual and finished tied for 38th with a score of 85-85-168.
"This is one of the toughest courses we play all year," noted Coach Kolarik. "Overall, the team played extremely well this weekend."
The Eagles return to action on Sat., Sept. 28, when they travel to South Bend to compete in the Notre Dame Invitational.
