COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Senior Jeff Giuliano (Nashua, N.H.) was selected by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as an All-America athlete for 2002. Giuliano was nominated by Boston College assistant strength and conditioning coach Sean Skahan for his dedication to strength training and conditioning.
The 2002 All-American Strength and Conditioning Athletes are recognized for their athletic accomplishments, academic and personal achievements, community involvement and leadership qualities. This year, 184 athletes in 19 different sports - from 84 universities - were acknowledged for their passion and hard work in and out of the weight room.
This season, Giuliano captained the Eagles' hockey team that consisted of 16 underclassmen and just six juniors and seniors. He recorded 35 points on 11 goals and 24 assists in 38 games played. In his career, Giuliano appeared in all 166 games the Eagles played, setting the school record for consecutive games played. He scored 114 career points on 40 goals and 74 assists to rank among the school's career leaders in scoring and assists.
In the classroom, Giuliano is a Verizon/CoSIDA Academic All-America nominee. Last spring, he was selected as Boston College's Outstanding Junior Male Scholar-Athlete. He is also a two-time HOCKEY EAST All-Academic Team member.
