Women's Tennis Edges Rutgers, 4-3

Piscataway, NJ -- The Boston College women's tennis team edged a streaking Rutgers team, 4-3, Saturday afternoon at the Rutgers Tennis Complex in Piscataway, New Jersey. With the win, the Eagles have won four straight games and improve to 6-9 overall and 5-1 in BIG EAST play. The Scarlet Knights fall to 11-8 (4-3 BIG EAST).
Despite losing three of the top four singles matches, BC rallied behind Nida Waseem's (Karachi, Pakistan) come-from-behind victory at third singles. The Eagles collected the doubles points behind 2-of-3 doubles wins.
Boston College will next host Boston University Tuesday at 2 pm at the Flynn Recreation Complex Tennis Courts.
