Chestnut Hill, MA -- The Boston College men's tennis team collected a 7-0 blanking over BIG EAST rival Providence Tuesday afternoon in a game played at Providence College in Providence, MA. With the win, the Eagles have won five in a row and are 9-7 overall. They are a perfect 3-0 in BIG EAST play.
BC won every one of the six singles matches in straight sets. Paul Colahan (Beverly, MA) improved to a team-best 10-5 overall with his 7-5, 6-2 victory at fifth singles. He also partnered with Ross Pytko (Oxford, MA) to take an 8-6 win at the third singles slot.
Boston College will remain on the road for two more BIG EAST games. The Eagles will face Villanova (Saturday) and St. John's (Sunday) over the weekend.
