Mackie Named To All-Canadian NCAA Team

TORONTO, ONTARIO - Boston College center Kim Mackie (Peterborough, Ontario) was named to the inaugural All-Canadian Women's NCAA Team as tabbed by Canadian basketball website hoops.ca. Ten Canadian women were selected to the two-team group, all celebrated for their collegiate careers in the United States.
This season, Mackie averaged 7.9 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. She started 30 of 31 games for the Eagles and finished the season ranked 19th among BIG EAST players in rebounding. In conference games only, Mackie averaged 8.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per contest. The Eagles went 23-8 on the season and reached the championship game of the BIG EAST Tournament. BC went on to qualify for its third NCAA Tournament in four years.
Joining Mackie on the first team are Stacey Dales-Schuman (Oklahoma), Erin Gibbons (Utah), Aaron Yantzi (Vermont), and Ashley Burke (Gonzaga). The second team is comprised of Kristy Hineline (Dayton), Darci Arsene (Wyoming), Dawn Cressman (Vermont), Tanya Cross (Rider), and Cara Caffell (Albany).
