Men's Basketball Signs Four Recruits

Four high school seniors have signed national letters of intent to play basketball at Boston College next season, according to an announcement made by Eagles' head coach Al Skinner.
Dan Coleman, a 6-foot-8-inch forward from Hopkins (Minn.) High School, Devon Evertsen, a 6-foot-6-inch swingman from Moon Valley (Ariz.) High School, Steve Hailey, a 5-foot-11-inch guard from Worcester (Mass.) Academy, and Sean Marshall, a 6-foot-5-inch swingman from Eisenhower (Calif.) High School, will enter Boston College in the fall of 2003 and begin their collegiate playing careers in the 2003-04 season.
Coleman averaged 14 points and 11 rebounds per game as a junior at Hopkins High School. He helped lead the Royals to the Class 4A state title this past March. Hopkins finished the 2001-02 campaign with a 28-2 record.
Evertsen averaged 18 points and 11 rebounds as a junior at Moon Valley High School in Phoenix, Ariz. Evertsen, a two-time Nike All-American, played for Rockets' head coach John Boie.
Hailey averaged 14 points, six assists and four rebounds per game at Worcester (Mass.) Academy last winter. He teamed with current BC freshman Craig Smith and helped lead the Hilltoppers to a 27-4 record.
Marshall averaged 22 points and 10 rebounds per game last winter at Eisenhower High School in Rialto, Calif. The 6-foot-5-inch swingman earned 2001-02 Division I-AA All-CIF South Section first team honors. He played for Eagles' head coach Steve Johnson.
