CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Coming off an emotional victory over UConn on senior night this Friday, the Boston College volleyball team lost its final match of the 2002 season to BIG EAST Conference opponent, St. John's University (17-16), 3-0. The Eagles finish the campaign with an overall record of 14-18 and a BIG EAST Conference record of 3-10.

Senior Lauren Schwer changed out of her maroon libero jersey for the first time in Power Gym this season and sparked the squad from the hitter position to gain the early advantage in game three. This one went down to the wire, but St. John's came back from the early deficit to capture the game, 30-28, and the match, 3-0.
Rachel Bach recorded a kill-dig double-double in her last match as an Eagle, with 14 kills and 11 digs. Sophomore Katie Andersen also achieved double digits in both categories.
Jackie Ahlers led St. John's with 15 kills. The match also concludes the 2002 season for the Red Storm.
