CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Former Rutgers University lacrosse star Regan Teti has been named women's lacrosse assistant coach by head coach Shari Krasnoo. Teti began her assistant coaching duties this fall, working with the team to prepare for off-season competition.
"We are excited to have Regan on board," Krasnoo says. "She comes from a great program at Rutgers and brings valuable experience to our team. She has been involved in NCAA competition and will provide leadership for our players."
Prior to accepting the position at the Heights, Teti served one season as the varsity girls' lacrosse coach at Bedford High School in Bedford, Mass. She also has coaching experience at instructional camps.
Teti was a four-year letterwinner at Rutgers. During her tenure with the Scarlet Knights, she helped the squad to advance post-season play each year, including an NCAA berth and No. 11 ranking in 1999. During that season, she served as team captain and anchored a defense that had the lowest goals against average in the NCAA.
A native of Berwyn, Pa., Teti currently resides in Somerville, Mass.
