Coach Al Skinner - Boston College
"They (Pittsburgh) did everything they needed to do in order to win this basketball game. They executed extremely well offensively. Our lack of communication on the defensive end was clear. Their shooting 60 percent in the second half was just a breakdown on our part, but you have to give them credit, particularly in the first half, as we never got into a rhythm."
"Guys were not communicating amongst themselves on the defensive end and because of that we did not execute what our defense was supposed to be and they executed their offense very well ...You have to give them credit, they found the open guy and they made the shots they had to."
"The few times that we had transition we didn't handle it well. We were indecisive and really weren't aggressive."
Troy Bell - Boston College
"They beat us to loose balls and we didn't make a couple of clutch plays that we needed to make."
"They (Pittsburgh) play good defense, but in my opinion it just came down to us not making the plays we needed to make."
Coach Ben Howland - Pittsburgh
"That was a great win. We beat the 11th ranked team in the country, a very good team. I have a lot of respect for their program and what Al [Skinner] has been able to build here. It was a huge win for our program and a great start to our season. To get a road win in the BIG EAST is always difficult and when you are playing one of the best teams in the country it is extra special."
"We did not let the press bother us. We only had 13 turnovers for the game... It all starts with Brandon [Knight]. Brandon Knight is proving day-in and day-out that he is one of the better players in this conference if not the country at the point position. He really keys everything, but it was a great team effort."
